The International Day of The Nacho is held annually every 21st of October at Piedras Negras, Coahuila Mexico to commemorate the invention of nachos by Ignacio "Nacho" Anaya in 1943 at the El Moderno Restaurant in the border town of Piedras Negras. Every year, since 1990, the people hold a "biggest nacho of the world"
contest in the International Nacho Festival between October 13-15, which is registered in the Guinness Book of World Records.
